All Dixons Sweets are made by hand using an old-fashioned batch production model. Flavours and colours are added by skilled sugar boilers before “turning in” on a cooling slab and the designs created and put together by hand. Due to this process, there may be variations in colour and flavour strength from batch to batch, and sometimes within the batch itself. However, all are organoleptically tested by our staff in packing to make sure they are of the highest standard.

Henry Dixon started making his 'celebrated' boiled sweets in Sheffield in 1885. The recipes have been passed down through the generations and still made to the same standars today as they were in 1885, and still in Sheffield.
