• The oil is steam distilled from the dried herb Thymus hiemalis, similar to true verbena (Lippia citriodora)
General Description
Lemon Verbena is a relaxing oil.
Try using 2-3 drops in a dispersant (e.g: Bath or Shower Gel Base) in the bath. You can use it on its own or perhaps blend it with Lavender Essential Oil.
Lemon Verbena is useful as a 'pick me up'. Try using it in a vaporiser when you're feeling emotionally or physically low.
Lemon Verbena also has a softening effect on the skin and can help to reduce puffiness. Care should be taken when using on the skin to avoid any problems with sensitisation - always use well diluted.
Histoical Background
Arab civilisations regarded it as an aphrodisiac.
