These tablets contain Folic Acid, a form of the essential vitamin, Folacin. This is a water-soluble vitamin of the B group which is essential to the production of red blood cells and division of body cells. It is essential to the production of RNA/DNA and proper protein metabolism. An adequate intake is vital to the development of the foetus during pregnancy, where a daily allowance, prior to pregnancy and for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, of 400µg is recommended. Folic Acid may be obtained from food sources, such as leafy vegetables and fruit, but your lifestyle could mean that your diet may not be providing an optimum intake.

   

 

Directions. Take one tablet daily, preferably with food and a little liquid
