The key long chain fatty acids EPA, DHA and GLA, may play an important role in maintaining concentration levels and healthy brain development and at times the body may require extra supplementation.
The
eye q™
formulation only uses natural source oils. Every batch of fish oil is tested by an independent laboratory to ensure that it is in full compliance with the stringent levels stated by the European Union and the World Health Organisation with regards to dioxins, PCBS, heavy metals, pesticides and other pollutants.
The importance of Fatty Acids
About 30% of the tissues of your eye and brain are composed of long chain fatty acids. The body manufactures them from other essential fats that can be derived from an external dietary source. So if you have a deficiency in your diet of these other precursor fatty acids, you wont be able to create the specific fatty acids vital for optimum eye and brain function.
Three fatty acids concern us.
Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) is particularly important in laying down the structure of the brain in early life and for providing ongoing repair. Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA), as is metabolite Arachidonic Acid, also plays a structural role, assisting in normal nerve function, especially learning and memory. Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) plays ore of a functional role, being crucial for moment to moment functioning of your eye and brain, especially in cell communication.
Research has demonstrated that these fatty acids may play a specific role in vision, co-ordination, learning ability, memory and concentration.
