eye q baby delivers the specific omega-3 and omega-6 long chain fatty acids that are important for a baby's healthy growth. The formulation is based on extensive research into the role of fatty acids in neuro- development. About 30% of the dry weight of the brain and eye is made up of long chain fatty acids, the majority being omega-3 DHA, and to a lesser degree omega-6 AA. These nutrients can only be supplied from the diet, and it is particularly important that they are in constant supply during the first two years of a child's life, the time when brain growth is most rapid.

We know that a developing baby will receive fatty acids through its mother's placenta during pregnancy, and that hopefully these nutritional inputs will be maintained during breastfeeding, as fatty acids are key active elements of a mother's breast milk. A young infant’s brain continues growing rapidly until they are approximately two years old, therefore omega-3 DHA and omega-6 AA are still important after breastfeeding has stopped. However when a baby is weaned onto solids it is not always easy or convenient to feed him or her oily fish, for this reason, eye q baby was born.  

The fatty acids in eye q baby are delivered in simple Twist-Off capsules. All you have to do is twist off the tip, and squeeze the contents into any food or drink. This will provide 100mg of DHA - the daily amount recommended by the International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids and Lipids (ISSFAL).
