Extraction Description: The volatile oil is obtained by steam distillation of the buds, leaves or stalks or stems of the plant. This particular oil is collected from the bud and is lower in eugenol content.

Scent Description: A sweet-spicy odour and fruity fresh top note.

A fantastic winter warming oil. Try combining Clove, Orange and Cinnamon Oils for a lovely Christmas fragrance to make your home warm and enticing for guests. Simply add a couple of drops of each oil to warm water.  

Clove is an antiseptic and stimulating oil. It's also used as a mosquito repellent. Dentists often use heavily diluted Clove oil as a way of keeping the teeth and gums clean when working in the mouth.

Only extracted from the bud, this oil should be diluted to less than 1% before being applied to the skin as necessary.

Historical Background

Traditionally used as a muscle relaxant and soothing agent.
